PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The SEO Specialist, part of our Digital Marketing - Content team, will Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) solutions to increase our web presence and ensure new technologies are optimized. The SEO specialist will work with internal teams to plan, implement, and analyze organic search initiatives. Additionally, other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Global Digital Marketing team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support and execute organic search strategies for all company web properties by identifying areas for onsite improvements in site structure, internal linking, page code and content development according to best practices and digital marketing guidelines
- Work with a team to plan and oversee implementation of all SEO related initiatives by defining target keyword lists, optimize existing content, and collaborate with content developers to implement the ongoing strategy
- Support adherence to guidelines for implementing SEO best practices in content development process
- Measure key performance indicators to monitor SEO effectiveness
- Generate regular reports for business leaders to illustrate progress toward goals
- Stay current on SEO trends, tools, and resources
- Identify, monitor, and report on competitor techniques
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Marketing
- 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, including managing organic search campaigns
- Hands-on experience in managing SEO activities for larger e-commerce websites ( Note: Mention links to the work samples in the CV if available ).
- Education or experience in a science related field preferred.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO purposes
- Experience in keyword research, web analytics, reporting and link building tools (Ahref, Google Analytics, BrightEdge etc)
- PPC experience is a strong plus but not mandatory
